II Chronicles 18:18-34 — Contrary to the word of the LORD, Ahab & Jehoshaphat went into battle against the Syrians. It didn’t take long for Jehoshaphat to find himself in a very dangerous situation. This was the culmination of a whole series of foolish decisions. Thankfully, the LORD was merciful, but this was not the case for Ahab. Despite his best attempts to outwit the LORD, judgment fell and he was killed.
In this sermon we are reminded of the certainty of judgment for those who rebel against God. We’re also reminded of His amazing grace that He shows to foolish sinners.
