Luke 13:1-5 — “Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” Death is not a pleasant subject, but we do manage to talk about the deaths of other people without too much discomfort. There has been much discussion about the COVID deaths in NSW and people are able to express their opinions fairly freely. But what often gets missed is the message that God is communicating when people die in unfortunate circumstances. He wants us to think about our death and more importantly, about where we will spend eternity.
As we continue out study through The Gospel According To Luke, we come to a difficult text and yet we must consider it. We all need to think very seriously about the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.
