Luke 12:13-21 — “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee…” The Parable of the Rich Fool is only a story and yet it describes something that happens every day all over the world. There are many who make “things” everything and forget the shortness of their lives. They exclude God from their enjoyment of His good gifts and are unprepared to meet Him.
As we think through this famous parable, we are challenged about our perspective and about our values. We are also reminded about how easy it is to fall into the sin of covetousness.
