Deuteronomy 7:1-8, Romans 11:25-29, Ezekiel 22:1-31 — The Bible makes it plain that God expresses wrath in His dealings with the world. God punishes people for their sin. Eternal conscious torment in Hell is the ultimate expression of God’s wrath. So how do we square this away with God’s love? Does God’s wrath contradict His love?
These are difficult questions and in this sermon we find some answers by considering God’s relationship with Israel. We see that because God is love He has wrath. This is a great comfort as we witness the evil in our world and it gives us a fresh appreciation for the death of our Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross.
