Hebrews 3:3-6 — “Moses was faithful in all his house…but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we…” In this text, the author of Hebrews reminds his readers that Moses was a faithful servant in God’s house. Moses’ faithfulness is contrasted later in the chapter with Israel’s unbelief and rebellion. But as great as Moses was, Jesus is the Son who is over the house.
The house is the people of God, today it’s the church, and we are exhorted to “stay home.” We are encouraged to remain with Christ and with His people, for that is the place of safety, fellowship, growth and joy.
