“I (actually) can do all things…”

Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”  This is one the most famous verses in Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. It’s among the first verses that children often memorise in Sunday School. But do we know what it actually means? And do we experience what Paul is talking about in our Christian lives?

In this sermon, we think about what Paul meant when he said this, and we think about the broader truth that we was expressing. We finish by considering two problems we face in making this verse a reality in our day-to-day walk with the Lord.
