Titus 2:2-3 — When we look at advertising and popular culture, what picture is presented of life for those of retirement age and above? Does this picture accord with reality? And more importantly, does it accord with what the Bible teaches?
In this, the first study in a new series, we begin looking at God’s wisdom for various ages and stages of life and we start with our beloved seniors. In Paul’s letter to Titus, he gives some very clear and specific teaching for the “aged,” beginning with the “aged men.” After we determine who exactly Paul was referring to, we work though the text, and as we do, we are all challenged to cultivate essential virtues and continue on the path to spiritual maturity.
