II Kings 21:1-8 — In this sermon we consider the wreckage of Manasseh’s reign. We look at the catalogue of pagan religious practices he propagated throughout his kingdom. We think about why he gave himself so thoroughly to paganism and what it cost. He threw away what was priceless. He chose what was worthless. There is stark warning in this account about what people lose when they walk away from the LORD. Nothing is worth abandoning the Good Shepherd for.
