Mark 4:35-41 — “How is it that ye have no faith?…” In these verses we have the account of Jesus’ boat trip across the Sea of Galilee with His disciples. As they made their way to other side they suddenly found themselves in the midst of a violent storm with their boat rapidly filling with water. Understandably, the disciples were afraid, they panicked, and they spoke rather inappropriately to Jesus.
After He calmed the storm (A spectacular miracle!), He turned to the disciple and questioned their faith. Was He too severe with them? Or was He perfectly justified in what He said? That’s what we think about in this sermon, and in doing so, we learn some valuable lessons about fear and faith in Christian life.
