Genesis 11:5-6 — The devastating truth about the Tower of Babel is that so soon after the Flood the whole human race was united in rebellion against God. This is what moved God to intervene and prevent the people from realising their plans. In this way, the Tower of Babel has eschatological implications. It foreshadows a time where once again humanity will be united in rebellion against God and God will intervene.
