Isaiah 53:10-12 — “Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days…” Isaiah chapter 53 contains the clearest explanation of the meaning of Jesus’ death in the entire Bible. It also speaks of His resurrection and this is the focus of our Easter sermon. The Servant of the LORD is alive and He shares the spoils of His victory with those who trust in Him.
