III John 1-4 — “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” This is the first sermon in a study through the book of III John. This little epistle doesn’t get a whole lot of attention and yet it has some very important things to teach us.
We begin with a brief introduction to the book and then consider John’s willingness to share his heart and his desire for his friend Gaius. This leads into a wider discussion of the prosperity Gospel and what God actually promises those who believe in His Son.
