Luke 12:8-9 — “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.” This is a difficult text to understand and receive, and that’s because we wonder where it leave us. Most Christians would admit to having failed to confess their faith in Jesus at one time or another. The occasion called for a clear statement of commitment to Jesus and/or His teachings and that’s not what we gave. So what then?
What exactly do Jesus’ words mean? What impact should they have on us today? What should we do when we fail in this area? Could there actually be some encouragement for us in these verses? Listen and find out.
