Genesis 3:1-5 — “Your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” When God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden, He intended for them to experience great joy. When the Devil entered the Garden he came to take away their joy, and sadly, he succeeded. Thankfully, God was gracious and provided forgiveness for their sin and reconciled them to Himself. After the Fall, Adam and Eve were able to experience joy again.
Just as it was with our first parents, God intends for us to experience joy in our daily lives. In this sermon we think about how (a) we experience the joy God has for us and, (b) the primary way the Devil seeks to take it from us. We hope this message is a help and an encouragement to you.
