Luke 11:42-44 — “Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God…” As he sat at lunch in a Pharisee’s home, Jesus declared a short series of “woes” against the Pharisees! He denounced them for certain aspects of their character and their conduct.
In Jesus’ words to the Pharisees we see certain features of all false teachers that trouble God’s people. It’s important that we recognise these features, and are very careful when it comes to who we allow to shape our Christian lives.
