Nehemiah 6:1-14 — The rebuilding of the wall was just about complete. Nehemiah’s enemies had thus far failed in their efforts to stop the work. In their frustration they launched one last series of attacks, but this time they were different. They tried to deceive to Nehemiah, to slander him, and to draw him into committing sin.
As we consider these attacks we learn about the ways in which our enemies seek to ruin our Christian lives. We’re also reminded of our need to pray for our leaders who often bear the brunt of Satan’s aggression.
