Matthew 27:41-43 — We often pay close attention to the physical suffering Jesus experienced during His various trials and as He was crucified. We are also careful to ponder the deep spiritual component of His suffering as He was “made sin for us.” What we don’t often think about, is how He felt when He was mocked – this too was a significant part of His affliction.
In this sermon, we think about what the chief priests, scribes and elders said while Jesus was hanging on the cross. We think about how Jesus answered these men, and what it means for us. We are going to face the same kind of discouragements that Jesus faced. The answer for us, is the same as it was for Him.
