Ezekiel 24:15-27 — Ezekiel was God’s prophet to the Jewish captives in Babylon where he was given remarkable visions of God. What we don’t often focus on is that when he was just 34 years old the Lord took his wife and commanded him not to mourn for her. This is a difficult story for us to receive, but through it we are reminded of God’s sovereignty. He is sovereign over life and death and over the lives of His servants.
