Philippians 1:1-11 — “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment…” This is the first sermon in a new series of messages from Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. We cover the opening section of the letter, and concentrate especially on Paul’s prayer for the Christians at Philippi — a prayer that had to do with their love.
We see how God’s idea of love (true love!) is very different to the way many people think about love today. This is important for our relationships with people outside the Christian community, but even more important for our relationships within that community. We hope this message is helpful and encouraging.
