Psalm 1:2-3 — “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither…” We are living in a season where this is much that can unsettle us and make us anxious. We can feel like a boat being tossed to and from on the water, or like a sheep lost in the wilderness without a shepherd. In Psalm 1, the LORD gives us a beautiful picture of the kind of person we desperately want to be. The tree planted by the river is stable, strong, healthy and fruitful. So how do we become like this tree? That’s what we think about in this sermon. We hope it is a blessing to you.
