Psalm 27:1-6 — “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life…” David’s singular resolve was to be in the presence of the LORD. For David that primarily meant participating in corporate worship. While we can experience the presence of God in any place at any time, there is something unique and special about the way we meet with God in public worship on the Lord’s Day.
As Pastor O’Brien opens up this wonderful text, we are challenged about our faith and about the things we desire. Do we, like David, long to be with God’s people, in God’s house, experiencing God’s presence?
