Worried — Not Worried

Luke 13:31-33 — Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.” There were certain Pharisees who told Jesus that Herod Antipas was planning to kill Him. When Jesus heard this, He was completely untroubled. He knew that nothing could prevent Him from getting to Jerusalem and fulfilling His mission.

In this sermon, we think about why Herod wanted to kill Jesus and why Jesus wasn’t worried. As we consider these two men, we see a wonderful illustration of why we worry and how we’re able to overcome that tendency.

Maybe for you, worry is the battle — you struggle with worry more days than you don’t! If so, we trust the Lord will use this message to help you find and enjoy peace of mind and a joy that cannot be taken away.
