Deuteronomy 22:5 — “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.” This is a fairly simple and straightforward command and yet it has deep roots. It goes all the way back to creation and to the fundamental distinction of human existence — the distinction between male and female.
As we study this command and the reasons why God gave it, we discover much to help us understand and respond to our society’s rapid embrace of transgender ideology. This is a pressing issue and it is vitally important that Christian’s come to it from a Biblical worldview.
